Let’s talk food! I love food so I created this food talk page. Food often takes center stage on my travels. I prefer local restaurants with local fare. No chain restaurants for me!
I like the “when in Rome” approach to dining while traveling: Swiss Chocolate and Fondue in Switzerland, Haggis and Scotch Eggs in Scotland, Fish and Chips in Ireland and England, Schnitzel and bratwurst in Germany. You get the idea!
For me dining isn’t just about the food. The atmosphere is important too. I love to dine in buildings that have been around for centuries, have a meal with a view of the mountains, or maybe dinner in a cave! I created an entire category for unique dining experiences. pro tip: Two great resources for finding the best food in town are tripadvisor and google maps. To use tripadvisor simply google best places to eat in____ and then navigate straight to the tripadvisor results. When mapping out a route for my trip I like to go to google maps, zoom in on my route and look at the restaurant icons along the way.
