Hidden Gems, one of my favorite travel categories! What exactly is a hidden gem? Well it’s something a little off the beaten path, something not frequented by the masses but something that has great value, in our case for travelers!
Hidden gems are generally less crowded, less trampled and less spoiled than high traffic travel destinations…and that sounds perfect if you ask me!

How do I find hidden gems? one of my favorite ways to find hidden gems is by studying Google Maps. Peruse the little icons on the map, hover over them with your cursor (this is best done on a desktop computer), when the image pops up scroll through the photos and see what strikes your fancy! Another great option for finding hidden gems: ask the locals!
